Go with the flow…of nature

Spring is officially here in the Northern Hemisphere.

I started my day with a long walk by the coastline. I walked through a hiking path with high climbing rocks, wild flowers and trees on one side and a steep cliff that ends into the sea on the other side. Above me a crystal clear blue sky and a refreshing morning breeze. The view was breathtaking! I focused only on hearing the sounds of the calm sea, the birds and my footsteps on the ground and smelling the fresh wild flowers that were coloring the scenery so beautifully. “How peaceful and relaxing way to start my day”, I though to myself! “I feel really blessed I can experience where I live”.

Being close to nature is a great way to consciously (re-)connect with yourself , - your body and your senses-. To catch up with your breathing, stretch your body and calm down your nervous system and busy mind, even for a few moments. This is priceless and so needed in this fast paced world we live in.

Stop and observe. Pay attention only to what you see, smell and hear around you.

When you tune in with nature you’ll notice that nature is never in a hurry. Nature seeks only balance and harmony. It is as active as needed to keep growing and expanding. It is also patient and vibrant with an abundant variety of smells, sounds, shapes and colors. Not a single leaf or flower is exactly the same with another one, -even of the same kind-. Yet all together create a majestic scenery.

Nature is diverse. Nature is inclusive. Nature is abundant. Nature is forgiving. Nature is also selective. It chooses to exclude whatever might distort its harmony and balance.

We are part of nature. We can only thrive when our bodies and minds operate in alignment with nature. Not when we resist or push faster than its natural flow. When we act out of alignment, our mind suffers, our body suffers. Our life feels burdensome and less satisfying. We don’t enjoy life. Instead, we struggle. We move and act unconsciously, like robots.

Let us all choose to live a thriving life by embracing the fact that we are also part of nature. Let us all choose to be in the flow with (your true) nature…

My intention is to express myself openly and freely and get closer and closer to my own truth. My hope is this will also help you better understand yourself.

Although we all have a unique story, we’re also similar in many ways.
